Dr. Sadiq Abdullah, Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering of the Islamic University of Gaza, completed international exchange opportunities for teaching at the University of Minho in Portugal as part of the international exchange projects funded by the European Erasmus Plus program, within the framework of the UMOVE (ME) exchange project between the two universities
Dr. Al was hosted in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Production at the University of Minho and chaired by Professor Paulo Afonso
During the five-day visit from July 6th to 13th several workshops were held on several topics: operations management, creativity, leadership, and entrepreneurship, in addition to visiting the Office of International Relations at the University of Minho, and exploring ways of collaborating on joint projects within EU programs
Dr. Abdel-Al visited the Faculty of Engineering project file It was agreed to advance a joint project with the University and several Palestinian partners. The visit also resulted in an agreement to publish joint research with Professor Paulo of Minho University and in cooperation with Professor Birzeit University
It is worth mentioning that the Islamic University has participated in about 50 international exchange projects within the Erasmus Plus program, which provided approximately 170 international exchange opportunities for students and staff of the Islamic University from various faculties and departments in partnership with several European universities
