The Computer Engineering department started as a part of the Electrical and Computer department which was initially formed in 1995, and as a result of the department’s academic and administrative development, the Computer Engineering department was established independently of the Department of Electrical and Computer in 2008. The department works to be a center for leadership in the fields of Computer and Technology by maintaining a distinguished level of professionalism and creativity and preparing a distinguished generation of graduates, equipped with science and knowledge and the ability to prove themselves in light of the acceleration of the engineering and technology wheel in the world. To achieve this, the department includes teaching staff with diverse experiences to attract scientific competencies in addition to the presence of laboratories and the availability of modern educational means. The department periodically develops and updates study plans to keep pace with global developments in the field of computer engineering and technology. The department is also working to open new horizons for students and researchers through the master’s and doctoral programs in Computer Engineering.
