The Department of Electrical Engineering at the Islamic University of Gaza is a beacon of knowledge and a scientific edifice. The department seeks to prepare the engineering cadres that are efficient and scientifically qualified and capable of diagnosing engineering problems and finding solutions and alternatives that help them develop their abilities to make the right decisions that serve the community.
Since its inception, the department has been keen to provide students with a prestigious and advanced education through flexible study plans that keep pace with technological development in various scientific fields in electrical engineering, integrated into theory and supported by practical application.
The department is keen on providing basic education in the field of electrical engineering and consolidating the Student’s practical competency by paying attention to laboratories and scientific laboratories and updating them continuously and encouraging students to implement specialized projects that provide new and useful for the community. The department’s graduates also have a good reputation in local and regional circles, as they have succeeded in entering the career path and assuming many leadership positions in various institutions, government ministries, and academia.
The Department of Electrical Engineering has been representing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering since 1995, where communications and control engineering courses are taught.
The department has witnessed a great development through the opening of a master’s program in Communications and Control Engineering in response to national and regional needs and as a result of the maturity of the bachelor’s program offered by the department, as well as the development of research units through the research and projects laboratory and encouraging researchers to publish research in prestigious scientific journals, participate in scientific conferences and establish Scientific seminars and workshops.
The department’s future vision aims to advance the reality of scientific performance and research production to contribute to raising the university’s position in the regional and international rankings.
