PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES


Graduates from the IUG Industrial Engineering program are expected to achieve the following Program Educational Objectives within a few years of graduation


Leadership

a) Our graduates will demonstrate the skills needed to work effectively in managerial and leadership positions in industry and government;

b) Our graduates will have the entrepreneurship to promote the manufacturing of new products and supporting industrial innovation.

c) In such a competitive global economy, our graduates will have the ability to conduct innovative research and development activities geared towards advancing the discipline and technology.

Lifelong Learning

a) Our graduates will be able to engage in lifelong learning through varied work assignments, professional training programs and participation in professional opportunities for the sake of continuous development;

b) Our graduates will be able to update their core knowledge and develop new knowledge and skills to pursue new career opportunities and successfully compete.

Communication

a) Our graduates will have the ability to communicate and work effectively in teams;

b) Our graduates will demonstrate the personal and professional skills needed to solve engineering problems and present their solutions;

c) Our graduates will have the skills and experience needed to help new and existing companies to expand towards international markets and suppliers;

Practice

a) Our graduates will demonstrate competence in training and education in the industrial engineering areas;

b) Our graduates will demonstrate competence in the professional practice of industrial engineering through using appropriate techniques, skills, and tools to collect, analyze, and interpret data relevant to problems arising in the industrial engineering discipline.
