The Department of Computer Engineering plays a crucial role in the development of the Palestinian society in the field of computing and information technologies in this fast paced world.

Since its establishment, the department has been contributing to the society generations of world class computer engineers who have excelled in their roles in the society at home or abroad. Thus, the department takes great care of our students. This can only be achieved by the dedicated effort and sustained creativity of our academic and administration staff.

To maintain our standards and progress, the department has been embarking on a staff development program through scholarships, internships and training courses for our staff. The computer engineering department has a staff of active researchers who contribute to the local and international conferences, seminars and summer schools in the field of computing. The department is also keen on collaboration with other universities by organizing video conferences and meeting with other international partners and collaborators.

The department of Computer Engineering at the Islamic University is focused on developing educational tools and facilities for our students:

- We have our own computer labs dedicated for our students equipped with the most recent and up-to-date hardware and software tools

-We are connected and integrated into the society and its local organization and the department tries actively to utilize this knowledge and partnership to enable our students throughout their studies and after once they graduate.

Once you graduate from the Computer Engineering department, the department continues its supportive role by providing academic training and workshops and career development.

The department continued success has yet again been further highlighted this year by the success of our students in winning the following prizes and awards:

-       Google Online Marketing Challenge GOMC.

-       Engineer Zuhair Hijjawi Award

Furthermore, this year we are welcoming our new students studying in the recently established master program that is attracting inspired candidates to develop their computing skills to a different new and advanced level.
